Announcing Math Fact Practice!

Posted by Alex Kurilin on August 17, 2015 at 12:34 PM

Build your students’ math foundation through basic math drills

After hearing your feedback, we’ve added a feature called Fact Practice. By solving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts, your students will build a solid foundation that will allow them to solve more complex problems. Here’s how it works:

Students log in and click on “Fact Practice” in the bottom left corner

As students answer Math Facts correctly, they gain coins. They only advance to the next level when they demonstrate mastery, or receive 3 perfect scores on a level

Students can only practice Math Facts twice a day. After completing Math Facts sessions, students are brought back to their home menu, so the focus stays on conceptual learning with Front Row’s adaptive and assigned math practice

Finally, unlilke other rote fact practice, Front Row’s Fact Practice never times students. Why not? Research shows that when students are timed while solving math problems, they can develop an anxiety and aversion to math. Give Fact Practice a try today!
